It is a metal film capacitor that is often used as a safety capacitor. Below is the step by step tutorial to make the led blinking and dancing LED strip circuit. These 50 LEDs are connected to form 12 strings of 4 LEDs each, and a single string of 2 LEds. Just take care this circuit works with direct mains so there is huge risk of electric shock therefore avoid direct contact when testing it with mains. Electronics Media is an Indian electronics and tech journalism platform dedicated for international electronics and tech industry.
The other end of the capacitor is connected to the AC input of a bridge rectifier. To be on a safer side, connect a 100Ω 1W Resistor in series with the X – Rated Capacitor to act as a fuse . But for this DIY LED light bulb, we will be designing a transformer less power supply to act as the LED Driver. In fact, this type of power supply for LED Lamps is becoming more common .

Likewise, by joining 90nos of 1 watt LEDs in the above design you could achieve a 25 watt high bright, highly efficient bulb. The diagram shows a single long series of LEDs connected one behind the other to form a long LED chain. Make sure to adjust the P1 pot accordingly to adjust the output voltage to match the LED string's max forward voltage. The heat dissipation is basically due to the bridge rectifier and the C1 which converts the full AC cycle to DC, causing a lot of stress on the MOSFETs.

How I make a deep light for deepabali,to decorat my home.please sir give me a circuit diagram, which is work for a long time. If you want to avoid an NTC, you can use a transformer power supply in place of capacitive power supply and use a 7812 or 7824 IC for getting a well regulated power supply. NTC won't be required for such a small circuit according to me, if possible connect a 50V zener parallel to the LEDs series end leads. I build this circuit successful.but switch off time bulb instal in bulb holder. No changes would be required in the circuit, if you see the resistors getting warm reduce it to 10 ohms each. Yes you can use 1 watt LEDs, anything between 40 and 90 LEDs in series can be tried….but you may have to increase the input capacitor value to 3uF/400V.

And if time allow please elaborate in Surge protection circuit which we can design from component available in market. I read your topic on surge protection but exact value are not mention so it difficult for beginners …. Facing very difficulties due to voltage fluctuation in my village town. Make sure all of the wires are connected properly. In order to complete the circuit, all wires must be touching the metal parts of each component.

Here, 24 LEDs are shown in the circuits, in which high bright white LED has been used. Input mains is 220VAC in which the bridge rectifier is made to convert AC from 4 diodes to DC and after which the capacitor is applied to remove AC pulses. After that, 24 LEDs have been added to the series. Here, kindly find the list of components separately. The post elaborately explains how to build a 3 simple LED bulb using many LEDs in series and powering them through a capacitive power supply circuit. Take the end of each wire and bend it into a U-shape.

The fluorescent driver cannot be used to replace the LED driver, unless the voltage and current parameters are correctly matched. The mosfet may be getting too hot due to the input/output difference which is very large…..if you increase the number of series LED to 50, 60, or 90. These considerations make these LED control circuits rather dicey and complicated. The circuit explained here employs a different approach and relies on a resonant mode of application. In the videos above I have purposely flickered the LEDs by twitching the supply wire just to test ensure that the circuit is 100% surge proof.

An LED is an important component in electronics, it is used for several indication and other decoration purposes. Satheesh, both are surge suppressors, NTC is connected in series with one of the mains input supply lines while MOV is connected between or across the supply lines. OK in that case you can try the second circuit from the above article. Put all the LEDs in series, and for the zener diode use a 160V 1 watt zener diode.

This is the only part of the LED bulb business, that you can either design if you know about electronics software or you can get it designed from an engineer. You can also download free software from the internet. Jindro, a fan capacitor could be quite bulky, but you can use it.

If your bulb doesn’t light up, check each side of the battery and the screws on the bulb holder to make sure the wires are in contact with metal. Fasten the other end of the wire to the metal screw of the bulb holder. Take the exposed metal end of each wire and bend it into a U-shape. Loosen each screw on the light bulb holder just enough to slip the U-shape of the wire around the screw. Tighten the screw, ensuring that the metal of the wires remains in contact with the screw. First, the main supply is given to the metal film capacitor.
Also, you can design 5mm holes on a disk with the help of any graphic designing software. The size of the disk will depend on how many holes you will need, which depends on how many LEDs you are planning on using. I have joned your feed and look forwaed to looking for exgra of your magnificent post. Dear…One of my friend import it from chine … you can find them on Google or Submit your E-mail….I will send the list of all companies which provide any kind of information for dealing.

Your bulb will not light if the filament is broken. Hold the bulb up to the light and ensure the filament is one connected piece. If the bulb isn’t the problem, proceed to the next troubleshooting step. The other AC Input of the Bridge Rectifier is connected to the Neutral of the AC Power Supply. 12 8mm LEDs are connected in series across the capacitor. An X – Rated capacitor is placed between the line and neutral.
